The key to future education is to develop competencies. TAEJAE students will grow into self-directed people by cultivating "the ability to think" and "the ability to act" in and around the world.
TAEJAE key competencies are based in the OECD Education 2030. All TAEJAE courses and programs are designed for (1) personal level competencies and (2) social level competencies to prepare students as global leaders.
COMPETENCY-BASED CURRICULUM
TAEJAE curriculum is designed for competency based Innovation Foundation course, gradually intensive major course and complete with capstone projects. Students are encouraged to converge and expand their major with other disciplines. Students connect what they learned in the classrooms with the real world issues during their global study tour and civic project. Through this process, students can focus on what they can do rather than what they know and further, develop the Self-Directed Learning and Global Leadership competency necessary for life after graduation.
SCHOOL of INNOVATION FOUNDATIONS
These are general foundational courses that all students take during their first year. There are required and elective IF courses. IF courses consist of basic knowledge and fundamental to all fields of study, and the concepts necessary to facilitate success in their major areas.
SCHOOL of FOUR MAJOR AREAS of STUDIES
There are four Schools of major areas such as (1) School of Humanities and Social Affairs, (2) School of Natural Science, (3) School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, (4) School of and Business Innovation with 12 tracks of special areas of studies.
